Anguilla Electricity Co Ltd (Anglec) provides the public supply of electricity in Anguilla. The high voltage network was introduced in 1975, and by 1989, electricity was available to almost all residences and businesses. Anglec currently operates 11 units with a capacity of 23 megawatts. An additional generating set, ordered in 2007, will increase capacity to over 28 megawatts.
