About
The Meteorological Service comprises three branches: Administration and Support Services, Weather, and Climate. The Weather Branch observes and forecasts conditions over and around the island, including a Radar Section and an Upper-Air Station. A Synoptic Sub-Station operates at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. The National Meteorological Centre at Norman Manley International Airport provides forecasts, maintains a Hurricane Watch, and issues severe weather warnings.
