Caribbean Heart Care Medcorp (CHCm) opened in 1993. In 2012, it performed just under 400 open cardiovascular surgeries. The unit achieved a 100% success rate for 250 adult open heart surgeries at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex. CHCm adheres to UK standards of practice for patient care and has conducted over 8,000 catheterization procedures in the past 8 years.
