About

In 1950, Mt Pleasant Credit Union Co-op Society Ltd was founded on the vision of Peter Roach after attending a co-operative conference in Puerto Rico. Roach's passion for the co-operative spirit inspired the residents of Mt. Pleasant to form the credit union to help the community. They did so by pooling resources and offering financial services to members. Over the years, we have grown our membership to more than 16,000 members and possess an impressive asset base. Moreover, we have expanded our reach by opening a branch office in Bon Accord. Our growth and expansion show how a community-based financial institution, starting with a shared vision, can thrive and innovate to serve its members. Furthermore, we now offer traditional financial services and contribute to community development through land development ventures.
