Silica Sands Limited was founded in 1968 by Mr. Carlos Young as a sandblasting company.After a successful 10 years, the company was bought over by his son Edwin Young, who continued to run the business as such. When materials became a challenge to obtain, Mr. Edwin Young, being an insightful and ambitious businessman, made the decision to convert Silica Sands Limited into a block manufacturing company. With this decision, Mr Edwin Young purchased a used block plant and began to realise his vision of producing one of the best concrete blocks in the East. Within a few years of this change, the company's employees had doubled in number, a larger plant was installed, and Silica Sands Limited was on its way to becoming the well-established block manufacturer that it is today. Following Mr. Edwin Young's untimely passing in 2004, the company continues to be a family owned business. With regular CARIRI testing, a dedicated team and 40 years of experience in block manufacturing, Silica Sands Limited continues to maintain the same standard of service and quality expected by its customers.
